Niamh Beddy is a London based pianist in her final year of the BMus course at Trinity College of Music where she studies with Hilary Coates.
In 2002 she began studying at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in addition to her lessons with Joseph Tong at Woldingham School where she held a music Scholarship. In the summer of 2010 Niamh won a scholarship to study at the Birmingham International Piano Academy where she received tuition from Peter Donohoe, Philip Martin and David Quigley amongst others. She has also played in masterclasses held by renowned pianists including Dina Parakhina and Douglas Finch.
Recently she has taken part in competitions including the Jaques Samuels intercollegiate piano competition and the Sutton Music Festival where she was a prize winner.
In addition to the piano Niamh also plays the Violin to a high standard performing at the Southbank Centre on several occasions, works as both a Piano and Violin teacher, and is trained as a sound engineer.
